Jason Day is a Peruvian-born actor and director of English and German descent. In addition to his acting work, Day has been creative director of photographer Mario Testino's MT+ agency in London. He is currently part of the starring cast of Movistar+'s “El Inmortal”.
He trained as an actor under Deborah Aquila and Ron Burrus in Los Angeles and New York, and as a director at the Fundación Universidad del Cine in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He starred in his first film at the age of 17, ‘Mañana te cuento’. Subsequently, after two seasons starring in the successful miniseries ‘Esta Sociedad’, he put his acting career on hold to study filmmaking. With 21, he returned to the big screen with ‘Máncora’, an American film shot in the north of Peru, starring alongside Enrique Murciano and Elsa Pataky. Its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival made him an international breakthrough actor.
A year later, Day filmed ‘30 Beats’ in New York, a choral comedy inspired by Arthur Schnitzler's ‘La Ronde’, alongside Jennifer Tilly and Lee Pace, among others.
She has starred in ‘Playing with Fire’, a Netflix series. He has participated in important Latin American productions, including the FOX series ‘2091’ and ‘El Capo’, the Latin remake of the hit ABC series ‘Revenge’ and the Netflix comedy ‘Soltera Codiciada 2’. Day has directed the short films ‘La Revelación’ and ‘Salvarte’, and the documentary miniseries ‘Walking Distance’ with Johnnie Walker's Blue Label.
Jason has also developed an important philanthropic work, collaborating with institutions such as Save the Children, UNICEF, V-Day and Operation Smile, in projects to improve the quality of life of people in Peru.
